Quotations

All quotations and estimates are valid for 14 days from the date of issue.

Payment Terms

Payments are strictly on presentation of invoice. Overdue payments shall accrue interest at 2% above prime per annum. The client shall further be liable for any losses or damages suffered by Rooted Electrical (Pty) Ltd as a result of overdue or non-payment of any amount due or any part thereof.

A deposit may be requested prior to commencement of any project. Rooted Electrical reserves the right to adjust the deposit percentage required.

Payments received from clients shall be allocated by Rooted Electrical (Pty) Ltd at their discretion unless the client specifies in writing, prior to payment, what the payment is for and requests allocation accordingly with a written remittance.

This agreement does not constitute a credit arrangement. Rooted Electrical (Pty) Ltd is not extending credit or deferred payment terms to the client.

Working Hours and Rates

Standard rates apply Monday to Friday, 08h00 to 16h00. Saturday rates are charged at time and a half and Sunday rates at double the standard labour rate, unless prior written agreement has been made and accepted by both parties.

Certificate of Compliance (COC)

If no initial electrical COC is produced, this may result in additional unforeseen costs to bring the entire installation into compliance. All persons and entities are required to hold a valid electrical COC. Rooted Electrical (Pty) Ltd cannot be held responsible or liable for any damage or loss arising from a non-compliant installation, and the client hereby fully indemnifies Rooted Electrical (Pty) Ltd in this regard.

The COC is issued and delivered once the client has confirmed satisfaction with the work carried out and full payment has been received on presentation of invoice.

Client Responsibilities

The client takes full responsibility for the electrical installation once Rooted Electrical (Pty) Ltd has completed the contracted work. The client has a duty to use the installation in a safe and compliant manner. No DIY electrical work is permitted. All electrical work must be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Warranties and Guarantees

Workmanship is guaranteed for one year, subject to these terms and conditions.

All materials carry the standard supplier warranty against defective materials. Not all products carry the same warranty terms or support. The client confirms awareness and understanding of the applicable supplier terms.

Any work carried out on the installation by a person or entity not employed by Rooted Electrical (Pty) Ltd will void the COC, all warranties, and all guarantees.

If a product is found to be defective within its guarantee period, the client may be liable for a labour charge from Rooted Electrical (Pty) Ltd, as not all suppliers cover labour costs.

Liability

In the event of a warranty claim for defective workmanship, the liability of Rooted Electrical (Pty) Ltd shall be limited solely to the rectification of the work or equipment on which they worked during the contract period.

Rooted Electrical (Pty) Ltd cannot be held liable for any damage caused by a third party, supplier, product or subcontractor.

Under no circumstances shall Rooted Electrical (Pty) Ltd be liable for any consequential loss or damage of any nature sustained by the client, or for claims made by any other person in connection with contracts made, work done, or goods sold by Rooted Electrical (Pty) Ltd, whether due to delay, defects, negligence or otherwise.

Ownership of Goods

Ownership of all goods supplied by Rooted Electrical (Pty) Ltd remains the property of Rooted Electrical (Pty) Ltd until full payment is received. Risk passes to the client on delivery. Rooted Electrical (Pty) Ltd reserves the right to remove and retake possession of any goods where full or partial payment has not been received.

Marketing

Any brand, client, or entity that Rooted Electrical (Pty) Ltd does business with may be referenced for marketing purposes. This includes registered trademarks, photographs, videos, or any other information used to promote Rooted Electrical (Pty) Ltd.

Right to Refuse Service

Rooted Electrical (Pty) Ltd reserves the right to decline or discontinue services to any client or entity at their discretion.

General

Any waiver or indulgence granted by Rooted Electrical (Pty) Ltd shall not constitute an amendment to these terms unless agreed in writing by both parties.

Should any provision of these terms be found to be unlawful, that provision shall be severed and the remaining terms shall remain valid and binding.
